Heating System Clean & Tune Program
2009-2010 Training Series

Now, more than ever, it is critical that you help your customers gain the greatest
efficiency from their heating systems. To assist you with that effort,
NYSERDA is offering one-day training workshops on the latest heating system clean and tune
techniques and procedures for representatives from your organization.
|
|
Participants certified by the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) will be
eligible to receive six (6) Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
The following topics will be covered:
- Tools, equipment, and procedures needed to meet NYSERDA’s Clean & Tune Program specifications and requirements
- Inspecting and testing combustion appliances to identify health and safety issues
- Testing combustion appliances for efficiency, worst case draft, and carbon monoxide (CO)
- Operation of digital combustion analyzers
- Exploration of the “House-as-a-System” concept
- “Hands-on” lab for combustion testing procedures

| The registration fee is $25 per technician. Due to the hands-on nature of
the training, space is limited. Priority will be given to companies
enrolled in the Clean & Tune Program. Registration for two representatives
per company will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendance of additional representatives will be allowed as space permits,
a waiting list will be established to determine if extra workshops
should be offered.

The workshops will begin promptly at 9AM and end at 3PM, lunch will be
provided. Directions to the site will be faxed to registrants. If you have
